A workshop to pause, connect, and recharge
We are delighted to welcome you to our third workshop as part of the project
“Skilled Workers Welcome in Cologne”. The workshop takes place in
collaboration with IVKI e. V. and the Cologne Community Foundation.
Staying Strong in a New Phase of Life
A workshop to pause, connect, and recharge
Starting a new life in Germany means far more than a
career restart.
So much is new:
the language, the working world, your social environment, and the small everyday things.
What’s familiar is missing, while at the same time a lot of orientation, adjustment, and personal initiative
are required. This workshop invites you to pause for a day.
Together, we will look at what major changes do to our
nervous system and how we can find more inner
stability even in challenging times.
Resilience does not mean simply enduring more and more. It also shows in the
ability to notice your own needs and boundaries, respect your personal
pace, and accept support.
The workshop combines easy-to-understand knowledge about the nervous system with
personal exchange and small, experience-based impulses. It’s about
personal sources of strength, inner stability, and the question of how
a sense of belonging can grow without leaving your own background and identity
behind.
This creates space for new perspectives, personal encounters, and
exchange with other international skilled professionals. Together we explore what
strengthens you in everyday life, brings relief, and enables new orientation.
